Tradition since 1888
The trade with food has always been a big tradition in the Pan family for many generations. In 1888 Giovanni Pan felt drawn to Bolzano, where he built up a world-wide fruit commerce. He exported primarily apples, even to the Tsarcourt and to India.
Considering that the freezing technology was still in its first steps, in 1967 Georg Pan had the glorious idea to make more out of apples: the first deep frozen applestrudel in Europe was born! It was produced purely by hand in the old Town of Bolzano. Today we are selling 22 miles of strudel every single day.
